"How are you today?" my Nana & Granddaddy asked.
"Oh, I'm pretty fine."
This was my standard response from age 4 up.
I think in my young mind it was a cross between "I'm fine." and "It's been a pretty good day." As I get older pretty fine means finding peace in the chaos around me.
